Firefox is a free,
open-source web browser that is based on the Mozilla code base. It is small,
fast and easy to use. This version of the open-source Firefox software is fully
supported by HP under the terms of its software license agreement, which is
provided with the Firefox executable file. The Firefox source code is also
provided as part of the downloadable file. The Firefox 2.0.0.18 for Tru64 UNIX Release Notes provide details about
the kit, which you can access from the additional information button.
The Gnome runtime
support libraries (gtk+, glib, and gettext) are also are available for download and packaged as a separately
installable setld(8) subset.
The Firefox and Gnome kits require
Tru64 UNIX 5.1A, or later. They are packaged in the form of gzipped
tar files. Unzip the files using the gunzip(1) utility, unpack the tar file into a directory using the
tar(1) command, and then follow the installation instructions in the file
README.txt.
