Revision and Configuration Management (RCM) collects configuration, revision, and patch data from your supported systems so that you (and your HP support team) can view detailed configuration, change, comparison and analysis reports through the HP Electronic Site Management Guide (eSMG). Together, you can use these reports to identify and resolve current problems associated with revision incompatibilities or configuration rule violations, and to proactively avoid future problems. You must purchase the appropriate HP service level to use this support solution.

RCM supports the following operating system platforms and devices:

  • PA-RISC, Itanium, and Legacy (rp5400 series) servers running HP-UX (11.0 to 11.23).
  • AlphaServers running Tru64 UNIX 4.0D and higher
  • AlphaServers and VAX systems running OpenVMS (V6.2 to 8.3)
  • Integrity systems running OpenVMS (8.2-1 - 8.3)
  • HP ProLiant and Prosignia Servers running Windows 2003
  • Storage subsystems (HSD, HSJ, HSZ, HSG for OpenVMS, Windows and Tru64 Unix and EVA for OpenVMS only)
